and so the us’ians SHOULD be concerned….no one knows how the tides will turn and they have their sweet NAFTA deal to be concerned with. instead of watching canada they should be watching barrack and keeping him in check…messiah status needs extra precautions , extra watching so it does not run amok…an easy tendancy, after all, the repugs elevated bush to that status.
never the less, interesting how we have come to be on the u.s. map with their eyes focused on the highways and what they think is the best route TO HELP THEM. after all, canada is always looked at for it’s secure economy, but that’s gone all to hell when we got dragged down by being so tied in to our brother to the south, n’est pas?

Saskboy – It’s unusual, eh? I wonder if they’re thinking that if they lived in a parliamentary democracy instead of a republic they could have gotten rid of Georgie years ago.
Toe – I wish I could take credit for it. I read or heard it somewhere else, and unfortunately I can’t remember where, but I think it might have been the Daily Show.
Scout – Although I’m a little surprised to see Canada getting any attention from south of the 49th, I doubt they’re too concerned about our economy since it’s a drop in the bucket compared to theirs. Theirs affects ours, but not the other way around.
NAFTA survived through 3 consecutive Liberal majority gov’ts, so it’s probably safe
Also, despite their supposed tendency to be more protectionist, Canada for some reason tends to do better economically when there’s a Democrat in the White House.

Well, John Baird might be the pitbull but I think he’s pro-choice, and he’s definitely pro-equal marriage, so I’m not sure if he’d make the cut. But he’s a contender.
