Oh, Stockie

…you dinosaur-riding, fundamentalist chimp. In today’s Question Period, Stockwell Day said, “It would be going against my very DNA to do a deal with separatists!”   From the Star-Phoenix:

“My DNA would never allow me to do a deal with socialists and my heart would never allow me to do a deal with separatists,” Day responded.

Okay, we get it:  doing a deal with separatists is against your very DNA.   Except when it’s not:

The separatist Bloc Québécois was part of secret plotting in 2000 to join a formal coalition with the two parties that now make up Stephen Harper’s government, according to documents obtained by The Globe and Mail.

The scheme, designed to propel current Conservative minister Stockwell Day to power, undermines the Harper government’s line this week that it would never sign a deal like the current one between the Liberal Party, the NDP and the Bloc.

Oh, snap.  Don’t you hate it when that happens?

It’s amazing that someone who thinks Earth is only 6,000 years old and humans walked with dinosaurs believes in DNA.

If there’s anything at all in Stockie’s DNA it appears that lying, hyperbole, a fascination with wetsuits, glimpsing imaginary drug deals going down along the Hamilton waterfront, and early morning cruises through Vancouver’s Downtown East Side top the list. ;-)

yeah, he may not be a real action figure but he plays one in parliament.

Do these guys honestly think that no one in the BQ caucus would have remembered this, let alone the 2004 deal?

on a related topic… where’s the left’s push for fundraising? Isn’t the coalition going to need serious funds to counter the CPC propaganda?

FF – Stockie got caught in a lie, a bad one. I hope the MSM stays on this. It would certainly be funny if someone came up with a tape or something.

donna – As far as fundraising goes, there are 2 parties in the coalition, so donating to either would do the trick.

I believe the Globe and Mail–even though they refuse to release these documents.
