mike – Oh yeah, most fetus porn must be miscarriages, otherwise the pictures would have more context to them. My LOLfetus is about a 6 week embryo, magnified. It’s really about the size of a pea — definitely not something that could even be qualified as being “killed”, since it hasn’t even progressed beyond the blob stage yet.
Yabbut Blob Blogging Wingnut and HER cohorts are quite fine with subjecting this fragile clump of dividing cells to unnecessary ultrasound waves, all for the greater purpose of shaming pregnant women into acquiescing to their point of view.
And now that HERSELF is all over the imaging technology that allows production of embryo effigies, you can bet that concerns about exposing the “bay-beez!” emerging neuron cells to potential harm through extended sessions of ultrasonography will be discounted.
deBeauxOs – Those little plastic things leave me cold — high ick factor. If they were being used as educational prenatal tools (ie. in wanted pregnancies), there might be some value in them. However, anything that fetus fetishists get excited about must have a downside, and that would be that these things could be used to try to manipulate women who are considering abortion. I would leave it up to an impartial medical professional to decide if there’s any legitimate use for these things.
