Wingnut Daily’s Joseph Farah expectorates a gob of green gooey phlegm about Ted Kennedy:
I know there’s an old adage that one shouldn’t speak ill of the dead.
But I don’t subscribe to the idea that when evil and foolish people die we should pretend they were something other than evil and foolish.
And Ted Kennedy was evil and foolish.
He wasn’t just a politician with whom I disagreed.
He was a rotten man – a wicked man.
That reminds me of Randall Terry’s speech after Dr. Tiller’s assassination: “mass-murderer, evil, wicked, hands covered in blood”, yada yada. Funny how they never have Word One to say about the serial adulterers and depraved perverts in their own political sphere, so many in number that an interactive flow chart is required just to track *some* of the most recent ones… but what the hey. If they did, they wouldn’t be
H Y P O C R I T E S
would they? Way to live down to our expectations, wingnutters.
UPDATE: Heh. Indeed.
(via right wing watch)

You think that’s bad. Coren couldn’t say one decent thing about Kennedy last night.
And to think, I thought Catholics were supposed to be
charitable in their judgement of others.
Of course, it’s sheer envy on Coren’s part because he’s nowhere
near Kennedy’s standard in any matter at all.
Don’t get me started on Joseph Farah!
Torontonian – Oh, that doesn’t surprise me at all from that jabbering self-righteous little weasel.
Farah’s the one who thinks Sean Hannity should run for president
Brain damage!
When I was in high school, I heard a joke about how at a funeral, they always manage to say something nice about the dead person.
At least Mr. Farah had enough class to not say that Kennedy was now in hell. That would be (nearly) emulating Fred Phelps, or the guy this Punkass post refers to.
Whoops. Sorry about the messed up italics. It should just be “something” that is italicized.
Rob F – Yes, I guess when it comes to nutbars like Farah, we should be thankful for small favours, eh? At least he didn’t say God Hates Ted Kennedy.
Thanks for the link to Punkass, great post!
Good morrow, all!
Ted Kennedy was a rotten man – a wicked man – why?
What rotten and wicked things did he do?
Did he solicit homosexual favors in an airport washroom?
Did he get hooked on painkillers and falsify prescriptions to get more painkillers?
Did he go hiking on the Old Appalachian Trail?
Did he hold back on aid for New Orleans after the destruction of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita?
Did he fire federal prosecutors for not following Republican political protocol?
Did he encourage torture of terrorist suspects in US custody?
Did he wiretap the phones of Americans without legal warrant?
Did he spy on American citizens?
Did he take budget surpluses on state and federal level and spend them into serious budget deficits?
Did he ignore intelligence on the activity of terrorists that would lead to crashing jetliners into buildings?
Did he shoot a friend on a hunting trip, and then demand, and get an apology from the shooting victim?
Did he call the Constitution of the United States of America “a god-damned piece of paper?”
What rotten and wicked things did Ted Kennedy do?
Enquiring minds want to know – CTZEn
A post script to my piece above.
Michael Coren no longer works at CFRB.
Sadly, the station didn’t get rid of
Bill Carroll.
While on the subject of the Kennedy achievements
and legacy, what are Coren’s achievements and
what is his legacy?
Exactly.
Now let’s hope CTS TV gets off the air by
year’s end. It sure looks that way now.
CTZen – Not bad. Looks like everyone’s going to hell but Teddy!
ETA – Thanks for the list — it will no doubt come in handy!
Torontonian – I read about that earlier this morning, Big City Lib was gloating over it
Schadenfreude cake for everyone!
Unfortunately Coren’s wingnuttery is still widely available in other media outlets.
