“Justifiable homicide”

douche12Anti-abortion terrorist Scott Roeder may end up using “justifiable homicide” as a defense for the murder of Dr. George Tiller.

No, really:

The suspect in the killing of abortion provider George Tiller is in talks with a prominent attorney who represents anti-abortion protesters and has long advocated justifiable homicide as a legal defense in such cases.

Scott Roeder, 51, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and aggravated assault charges in the May 31 shooting death of Tiller in the foyer of his Wichita church. The Kansas City, Mo., man has refused to discuss his case, but he has told The Associated Press that Tiller’s killing was justified to save “the lives of unborn children.”

Roeder is consulting with Michael Hirsh, the lawyer who represented anti-abortion terrorist Paul Hill, who was canonized by anti-choicers for the murder of a doctor and clinic escort in 1994.    Here’s how this shit-eating, fetus fetishizing douchebag responded when it was pointed out to him that an acquittal based on a “justifiable homicide” defense would only endanger the lives of more doctors:

But Hirsh discounted the suggestion that if a jury acquitted Roeder of murder based on such a defense, it would lead to an open season on abortion doctors.

“It has been open season on unborn children for over 30 years. I think on abortionists there will be a bag limit,” Hirsh said in a phone interview this week from his Kennesaw, Ga., office.

“I think on abortionists there will be a bag limit.” That’s how seriously these scumbags take the murder of doctors and clinic staff, regardless of their lame, pearl-clutching “denouncements”.  This is what they want to happen.

    And the Department of Justice.

The trial is going to be a circus. Just what they want.

The good news is that Hirsh was a colossal failure for Hill. May he do as well for Roeder.

Yabbut fern hill foetishists only like media circuses when they get to pick the props, ask the questions, spew their glurge and their propaganda.

Look at Randall Terry. He’s no longer calling the shots and it’s not working out so well for him, is it?

Well, when Roeder has had (and lost) his circus–er, fair trial, let’s see what happens. Maybe someone will get the bright idea of turning him loose amid the general prison population, a la Jeffrey Dahmer. Then we’ll see if a truly justifiable homicide doesn’t happen, hey?

fern hill – I almost hope they do go with “justifiable homicide” — it means he won’t be skating away into a mental hospital with some kind of insanity plea. He’ll be doing hard time 8)

deBeauxOs – I agree, this media circus won’t work out well for the fetus fetishists. This is one thing they’d rather would drop under the media’s radar and just disappear.

    Good morrow, all!
“A non-criminal homicide, usually committed in self-defense or in defense of another, may be called in some cases in the United States. A homicide may be considered justified if it is done to prevent a very serious crime, such as rape, armed robbery, or murder. The assailant’s intent to commit a serious crime must be clear at the time. A homicide performed out of vengeance, or retribution for action in the past, would generally not be considered justifiable” – source, Wikipedia, on justifiable homicide

Bina – Unfortunately, I think Roeder might find some sympathizers among the prison population, since some of his terrorist allies are inside too. Not that it’ll be a picnic, he’ll still do hard time, but I don’t think he’s likely to get hurt. More likely he’ll turn out to be one of the prison bullies.

CTZen – These guys think abortion is murder — supposedly, although they’re too stupid to have considered what that means in terms of crime and punishment.

Ah well, a girl can always hope. Personally, I hope he meets up in there with a big black dude who’s got a sharp ear for bars of soap being dropped. (evil grin)

    Good morrow, JJ!
If abortion is murder, why is it not prosecuted as such by the proper legal authorities? Of course, that begs the argument that the proper legal authorities have been corrupted, and that would justify, in their own minds (and I use the term, “minds,” generously in this case) taking the law into their own hands.
What would the authorities do if these anti-choice activists were harrassed and assassinated in the same manner? Would these activists not go screaming to the police for protection? Would they not howl about their rights to life and liberty, rights they would deny others?
If the shoe fits – it probably doesn’t go with anything else you wear – pity – CTZen

That video was inadvertently hilarious. NONE of them had thought the matter through. NOT ONE. Their only reason for being there: basically, they were just squicked out at the thought of a woman WANTING to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. And one of them called her squick the voice of God. No logic whatsoever. That’s what it takes to be anti-choice: brain forever on standby, hormones on autopilot.

It’s little wonder the men in that movement think all women are too stupid to be trusted with their own bodies, if all the women in the movement really ARE that way. (But of course, we know who MADE them that way, don’t we?)

Do not underestimate Michael Hirsh . He is brilliant, with a Messianic Jewish legally adroit mind .Six foot seven , hollywood handsome ,and a man of deep compassion for the defenseless unborn who are daily butchered in this country . I believe God has chosen him for such a time as this .I pray that Kansas permits this man to defend a man by a law going back to Blackwell’s time in the 12 th century –justifiable homicide.

JAB – What’s the deal with these rubes and punctuation? They either use it incorrectly, or they don’t use it at all. Sheesh

  16. 16 JJ Monday, August 31, 2009 at 3:17 pm

Cornelius – Exactly, and that’s what makes these people such a joke. In spite of their feverish rhetoric, most of them don’t really believe abortion is murder — if they did, then there would be no reason to “denounce” killings of abortion doctors. It would be like denouncing the killing of Dr. Mengele — most people wouldn’t feel it was necessary because what he was such murderous scum himself.

The fact that none of them have ever even considered what the punishment should be for this so-called “murder” is further evidence of how stupid and shallow they are.

  17. 17 JJ Monday, August 31, 2009 at 3:19 pm

Bina – It was very telling that none of them had even considered what the punishment should be.

They are really into being out there with fetus pron and shrieking about teh beebees, but that’s all. It’s a good persecution high for them, and that’s it — they don’t even consider the nuts and bolts reality of what illegal abortion would mean.

    “Anyone else’s gaydar pinging?”

    Loud ‘n’ clear.

My nut-dar is also off the scale!
