Hahahahaha!

From The Mudflats, a parody of the dumbass who was crying about her kids having to listen to Obama’s SocialistNaziCommunistRastafarianFascist Indoctrination Speech:

Heh, I kept my kid home, for three extra minutes, at lunchtime, and MADE him watch the Obama speech. (Not really, he wanted to.) His report: “It was interesting. Not very long though.” I liked the speech, it was at the level of kids’ understanding, pretty much any age, and it was just meant to be motivating. It was a good, honest speech laden with old-fashioned values. If he’d given that speech in 1969, kids would’ve called him the Establishment.

The CNN guy “Tony” really wanted comments from wingnuts, but didn’t have any. It seems obvious that the media is giving wingnuts attention purely for the entertainment value.

    Good morrow, all!
“You have the right to remain stupid. If you give up this right, anything you learn and pass along to others in the form of intelligent information and insight can and will be used against you in a court of opinion.
“You have the right to be represented by an idiot. If you cannot afford an idiot, an idiot will be provided for you.
“You probably don’t understand these rights, but I am bound by hypocrisy to tell you anyway.” – from the New Miranda.
Consider the two most successful Republican administrations of recent history.
Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.
The Great Communicator and the Great Deciderer.
    Pa Kettle and Rain Man.
    Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber.
To the right wing, stupid is vital. Without enough stupid people saying stupid things or doing stupid things, or worse, smart things in stupid ways, the right wing would not have any base to speak of. The right wing doesn’t eat its vegetables, it elects them to public office. They possess just enough intelligence to display unreasoning contempt for it.
Bill Maher put it best: In God We Trust should be replaced by I Am Sam. Ignorance is Strength.
Weird Al Yankovic sang: Dare To Be Stupid. It isn’t the daring thing anymore. What’s daring is to be smart, and to show it. That’s the death-defying act. The zombies aren’t on the screen anymore, Bubba.

I just blogged this and the other one, too.

Now, all we need is for Chris Crocker to cry and make the trilogy complete.

You’re right, though — ignorance & stupidity is vital. This is Duh Base that the GOP mostly ignored (with good reason), until anyone with half a brain became ashamed to admit they were Republican and scattered far and wide in the “Independent” wilderness. Now all the GOP has left is the New Dumb.

brebis – So, your kid thought it wasn’t long enough?

But afterwards, he didn’t try to, you know, seize the Means Of Production or anything like that…?
