Breaking from their 18-year tradition of providing employees with abortion coverage in their health care plan, the Republican National Committee has just announced that its health plan will no longer cover abortions:
The Republican National Committee will no longer offer employees an insurance plan that covers abortion after POLITICO reported Thursday that the anti-abortion RNC’s policy has covered the procedure since 1991.
“Money from our loyal donors should not be used for this purpose,” Chairman Michael Steele said in a statement to POLITICO. “I don’t know why this policy existed in the past, but it will not exist under my administration. Consider this issue settled.”
Consider this issue settled?? You wish!

Well I think it really is settled, JJ. We (not that we’re American anyway) aren’t going to support them anyway, and to those who DO support them, nothing EVER counts if a Repug does it. Rules are ONLY for heathen, NEVER for “Christians.”
The hypocrisy never fails to stun me. The only thing more stunning is that the sheeple like Jasper go along with it without missing a beat.
It’s like that scene in Orwell’s “Nineteen Eighty-Four” when Oceania is having their Hate Week festival against Eurasia and in the middle of the a speech it’s announced that Oceania is no longer at war with Eurasia but is now (and always has been) at war with Eastasia. The crowd doesn’t miss a beat, looks around and starts tearing down the anti-Eurasia posters which must have been planted there by Eastasian spies.
