Beating out even the brainless jerkoffs and lowlife scum who cut gas lines, sent faxes with pictures of nooses, and left threatening voice mails at Democratic congressmen’s HOMES (“you’re a baby-killing motherfucker who should bleed out of your ass, get cancer and die”), is GOP minority whip Eric Cantor:
House Minority Whip Eric Cantor just gave a brief speech accusing Democrats of using reports of recent threats of violence for political gain, and saying someone shot a bullet through the window of his campaign office this week. [...]
Cantor said a bullet was shot through the window of his Richmond, Va., campaign office this week, and that he’s gotten threatening emails.
“I will not release them because I believe such actions will only encourage more to be sent,” he said.
This is nothing but the panicked gibberish of a mentally incompetent street racer who suddenly realizes in mid-rollover that he’s about to crash.
Way to make a veiled threat, though: Stop talking about the terrorist tactics of our supporters or there will be more where those came from!
UPDATE: SHRIEK! Bullets and threats and threatening bullets, oh my!… and then, there’s Reality:
A Richmond Police detective was assigned to the case. A preliminary investigation shows that a bullet was fired into the air and struck the window in a downward direction, landing on the floor about a foot from the window. The round struck with enough force to break the windowpane but did not penetrate the window blinds.

Is that the same Eric Cantor who missed the State of the Union address last year? Yes it is. Why did Cantor miss
the State of the Union address by Barack Obama?
He went to New York for a Madonna concert.
True responsible leadership material.
And the people keep voting in these clowns.

But not for long.
They’re already trying to take credit for some parts of the hcr bill, even as they all voted against it. They’re no longer talking about repealing, the new plan is “repeal and REPLACE”.
They have no direction, and they’re floundering. It’s fun to watch.
So long as you’re not the one getting your gas line sabotaged.
What I find interesting is that the main wingnut response to the spate of violence and threats is to accuse Dems of faking the threats – saying that Stupak’s voice threats were from a week ago from liberals upset with his attempt to hijack HCR; saying that EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY THREAT/ACT OF VIOLENCE was faked, and posting alleged “evidence” of said fakery.
And yet, these stooges are saying that the alleged vandalism of Cantor’s office was “totally true! We swear! Honest!” without the slightest scintilla of evidence (because Cantor refuses to release it).
What is it about wingnuttery that makes them so susceptible to confirmation bias?
Oh joy. Now there’s reports that Congressman Anthony Weiner’s office has been hit with the wingnuts’ favorite terrorist weapon: the anthrax hoax.
Cantor won’t release the emails because that might encourage more to be sent? How about because they probably are the rantings of disgruntled teabagger types. If they had threatening emails that they could pin on liberal dems, you bet your ass they’d be plastered all over FOX news.
I also heard that the police did find the deadly bullet that shot through his window. It hit the glass in a downward trajectory and didn’t penetrate the blind inside the window. Musta been a really high-powered sniper bb.
Buncha whiny, lying sacks of crap.

Maybe I should have been a little more clear — it’s fun to watch the GOP floundering, not to watch people getting death threats.
See my update… the shot that supposedly targeted Cantor’s office was just some yahoo firing up into the air, and when the bullet came back down it grazed the window.
JAB – I heard about the anthrax thing… hopefully these attacks will de-escalate now that the GOP is starting to walk it back somewhat (as much as could be expected, which isn’t much, but it’s something). Predictably they’re not taking any responsibility for whipping up the hysteria, though
Mrs. B
No kidding. I don’t believe for a second that they’ve gotten any threats. In the unlikely event that they have been threatened, it’s probably coming from their own base. Otherwise, they’re such drama queens they’d be all over the news screaming about it.
Yeah. Serial adulterer Newt Gingrich just said that The Left™ bears responsibility for the Teabagger Days of Rage™.
Oh, and an Obama supporter in Nashville was the victim of a road rage incident, courtesy of a teabagger. Yep, they’re really de-escalating, alright.
JAB – Good grief. I thought the GOP was the party of personal responsibility. Can they honestly not see how they contributed to ginning up the hysteria?
About the road rage incident, I’m actually surprised it took this long.
