We all know Bruce chatted it up well with many bloggers. He would replay his many conversations and comments and the back and forth for me, usually over a few beers, or on the phone. You were often the subject. He respected you much and appreciated the friendship.

Your song choice is so right on. I played that song for Bruce on one of our music nights. He started out saying it was sappy but I demanded he listen again. He heard it and in his tough way a crack somehow allowed him to admit he liked it.

I was thinking of you, JJ. I’m so sorry for your loss. You two were best buds. Like psa above, here is where I first met Bruce.

Rick, thanks for sharing your RL memories. We sure saw his soft side here – he was JJ’s number one kitty family fan.

As if the news couldn’t get any worse

Elizabeth Edwards Dies of Cancer at 61

Elizabeth Edwards, who as the wife of former Senator John Edwards gave America an intimate look at a candidate’s marriage by sharing his quest for the 2008 presidential nomination as she struggled with incurable cancer and, secretly, with his infidelity, died Tuesday at her home in Chapel Hill, N.C. She was 61.

There’s also a little bit of good news today, as the Vancouver Sun is reporting that Canadian wingnut queen, waster of 1.2 million dollars of Surrey taxpayers’ money, and anti-abortion activist Heather Stilwell, is dead.

Hi JJ. Been a long time since we last connected but on this sad occasion, we can remember Bruce for his fine voice of reason and brilliantly written posts. Shared a beer with him in Toronto a few years back and even have a picture of the two of us to remember him by. Take Care,

    Tim

Ricky – Actually, as I was looking for the video, I thought “Oh god, Bruce would tease me shitless for being a sap!”
