More traction

Hoho! The atheist bus in Ottawa might be shifting out of neutral and into first gear:

City councillors on the municipality’s transit committee will review an OC Transpo decision to reject advertisements from an atheist group at their meeting Wednesday.

The item was not on the committee’s agenda, but it unanimously voted to deal with the issue at the start of the meeting.

The transit committee chair, Bay Councillor Alex Cullen, said he hopes to get a motion passed ordering the OC Transpo staff who rejected the ads to reverse their decision.

That was reported just 3 hours ago, so we’ll see what happens after this meeting.

UPDATE: Yoo-hoo, “Free-speechers”! This is your cue! Oh, wait

UPPERDATE: Miss Vicky has the scoop on the meeting.
