All the news that’s fit to be ignored

Any quaint little notions that anti-choicers might value the lives of post-born pregnant women as much as the pre-born fetuses they carry should be dispelled by the latest dispatch from Our Lady of the Zygotes:

Updated post: still ignoring fate of pregnant woman

Government of Iran Kills Unborn Baby (GRAPHIC PICTURE WARNING)_1245557317418

Original Post

What follows is a picture (of the fetus) and a grim reminder:  “This is what an unborn victim of crime looks like. The End.

Though you’d never know it unless you clicked on the link, the pregnant woman was also reported to have died in the attack (just thought I’d mention that for those who consider pregnant women to be more than peripheral fetal support hardware).

If indeed this tragic attack even happened in Iran, which is a pretty big “if” and a sizeable “indeed”.  A Palestinian website used the same dead fetus picture a year ago, claiming it happened in Iraq.   But in the world of fetus fetishists, so what?  The only important thing is that somewhere, sometime, somehow, a Fetus was killed — the rest, such as what happened to its ambulatory incubator, is just details anyway.

UPDATE: Ooops!  “Story not available”!  What’s that mean?  That it was…

bullshit??

Since SHE has already been caught in more than one “fib” I’m prepared to offer that SHE knows perfectly well that the image proffered is not related to the unsubstantiated incident to which she refers.

There’s a shorter version of the above.

But, but, but, they’re only little white lies, Dave.

  3. 3 J. A. Baker Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 7:01 am

Well, Dave, SHE is Lying For Jesus™©®, so it’s perfectly fine in HER eyes.

I should also note that the article in question has been pulled or is otherwise unavailable.

… stories submitted by users are not edited, fact-checked or screened before they post.

That’s in the masthead of the site SHE believes is giving her a valid story, the precise one of which has now gone down the memory hole. Note that their average for “Use by CNN” is considerably less than the Drudge Report.

And since there has been verifiable discretization of the story you would think SHE would provide an update… or something.

Oh right. That’s what we do when we need to correct something for accuracy. SHE performs to a different standard.

Ya think? 😆 It’s possible — that would be running true to form.

I tend to think that the sight of a fetus immediately flips her into high propaganda mode, and she starts typing uncontrollably. (Of course, that doesn’t preclude the possibility that she knew it was a fake story.)

JAB – I haven’t been following — when was the 9th Commandment amended to read “Thou shalt not bear false witness (unless it’s for Jesus)”?

😆 No shit Sherlock! 😆 Well, it’s not too surprising that this fake story is being spread by people who consider “lifesite” a credible source. The pesky liberal bias of reality strikes again.

  11. 11 JJ Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 11:24 am

scout – It would be a tragic story if it was true. Too bad the excitement of seeing a dead fetus prompted such hysteria that fact-checking was put on the back burner.

Damn! I gotta remember to take screen shots when I post over there.

In another thread, SHE tsk-tsked at JJ for laughing at that cretin (ceecee? or one of the other three sock-puppets?) and accused JJ of using cheap rhetoric. I snarked back, telling her to look at the comments on the dead fetus porn post where southern quebec debunked it. SHE scubbed my comment and added to the porn one: ‘southern quebec says the photo is from last year but that doesn’t matter it’s still Fun with Dead Fetuses here allatime’.

Comment moderation is off, by the way. For now.

  13. 13 Chimera Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 12:23 pm

That picture is not a fetus!

Take a better look at it. It’s too big. It’s too well developed. It has way too much hair.

    Nope. Not a fetus.

So…who’s using real dead children as fodder for their anti-choice eruptions? Could it be Bellicose Blue Borborygmus?

  14. 14 JJ Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 2:59 pm

fern hill – Firefox screengrab is your friend 8) I have a whole folder just for screenshots 😆 since these dishonest fucks are so quick to disappear stuff.

Oh yeah, Christina the psycho. What a lying, braindead douchebag she is. She does bring back fond memories, though. Remember 2 years ago, the Summer of the 30-Day Prayer Assault? That was Christina. 😆 I am still wearing my helmet just in case she fires any more prayers at me 😛

  15. 15 JJ Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 3:01 pm

Chimera – It does look like about a 6-month old baby, doesn’t it? Very sad picture 😦 and who knows where it really came from. I’m starting to wonder if it was doctored.

  16. 16 fern hill Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 7:04 pm

You got edited over there, JJ. You can haz screen shots?

  17. 17 JJ Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 7:09 pm

WTF?? What did I say? I thought I was being nice, for me.

  18. 18 JJ Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 7:52 pm

fern hill – She edited out “maybe when the doctor ups her meds” at the end of my last sentence (in reference to Crazy Christina the Prayer Warrior, and tongue-in-cheek since the meds strong enough to bring her back to the Planet Earth haven’t even been invented yet).

  19. 19 Dr. Prole Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 8:56 pm

Don’t worry JJ, the Coalition of the Swilling has your back! Bring on the prayer assault, bitchez…

  20. 20 JJ Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 9:12 pm

Dr. Prole – The battle of the “Full-scale 30-day Prayer Assault of ’07” was quite the victory for our Mighty Coalition 😆 Hopefully they won’t deploy any more prayers in our direction, but keep the helmet on just in case.

  21. 21 brebis noire Monday, June 22, 2009 at 3:45 am

No Chimera, you’re right. The baby looks around 8-9 months along to me, practically at-term size.

But of course the fact that the bullet had to enter a woman’s body to get at the fetus/at term baby is irrelevant. Her fault though – she didn’t have her uterus kevlar’d while living in a war zone.
(I did appreciate how she equated the Iraq war with a crime. She thinks her post facto anti-Iraq war stance is “unique”. I’d laugh except for the fact it’s a profound and monumental tragedy that was aided and abetted by conservative dupes like her.)

  22. 22 RealityBites Monday, June 22, 2009 at 8:19 am

Well brebis noir, if I get shot no one’s going to care about my ruined shirt. That’s all a woman is to them – clothing for a fetus.

  23. 23 JJ Monday, June 22, 2009 at 8:32 am

brebis – That’s what I thought too, but a closer look at the pic (up at Stankek’s today) shows something that looks like an umbilical cord beside the kid, so it could be a fetus that was about to be born. (Or the picture could be doctored, who knows.)

  24. 24 JJ Monday, June 22, 2009 at 8:34 am

Woman = Fetal all-weather protective gear.

Wait. What?
