Can you draw a map of Canada by memory?

Okay, maybe.  Canada’s not that hard to remember, since we’ve only got 13 provinces and territories. What about the USA, with 52 50 states?  No way could I do that, and I doubt if most Americans could.  But Senator Al Franken can!:

Should be fifty-five. You forgot Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Northern Marianas.

Fifty-six if you include Gitmo. 😉

Hey! So can I. How ’bout that!

  8. 9 Rob F Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2:12 pm

Franken forgot Puerto Rico, Navassa Island, Serranilla Bank, Wake Island, the United States Virgin Islands, Johnston Atoll, Howland Island, Palmyra Island, Kingman Reef, American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Baja Nuevo Bank, Jarvis Island, Baker Island, Midway Atoll, and Washington DC

    The pickiness, it hurts!

Of course, I don’t think this detracts from Franken’s achievement in the slightest. Drawing a map of subdivisions of any country by memory is pretty amazing.

That is amazing. I can’t draw water, let alone a map of the US.

What the hell! 50 states? Where did I get 52? 😳

  11. 12 Frank Frink Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 6:34 pm

    Where did I get 52?

Never play cards and blog at the same time. 😉

    FF – I wasn’t, I swear.

It was actually a trick, I wanted to see how much you guys knew.

    😉

“What the hell! 50 states? Where did I get 52?”

Actually, America does have two more states (on a rotating basis): Confusion and Exhaustion.

“What the hell! 50 states? Where did I get 52? ”

I think you included Canada and Mexico, they could be considered states since they rely on the US so much.

  16. 17 JJ Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 5:46 am

Got anything of substance to say, Bob? Or do you just want to continue being a douchebag?

  17. 18 Frank Frink Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 12:22 pm

they could be considered states since they rely on the US so much.

OK, fine. Let’s say we (Canada) shut off all the various forms (oil, gas, hydro etc..) of energy we supply to you. Who’s ‘heavily reliant’ now?

(Cue Bob sputtering, “but… but… but.. we’ll just invade your sad country, kick your sorry asses and take whatever we want.”

And remember, Bob, how well that’s worked in the past.)

I can draw Colorado from memory.

I can draw Colorado from memory.

    😆 😆

That reminds me of the George Carlin routine about prisons.

Rectangular states are cheaper to fence, saves the taxpayers money, you know?

    Bob, Bob, Bob…

How exactly did you get to be so ignorant? I’m guessing a steady diet of FauxNews and LifeShite. Why don’t you take a break from the Tee Vee and internets and attempt to think for yourself for a few days?

  21. 22 JJ Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:47 am

FF – That’s right, Bob should be careful about pissing us off. We are still the only country to ever invade the US and burn its capitol to the ground. Don’t fuck with us… EH?

  22. 23 JJ Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:49 am

    Mandos – Congratulations! I can’t! I can draw Florida, though 😛

  23. 24 JJ Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:51 am

JAB – LOL, I was trying to think of another square state… New Mexico? Arizona? but I couldn’t.

  24. 25 JJ Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:54 am

Dr.Prole – Like many #tcots, Bob is the product of a self-limiting environment where he gets circular reinforcement of bad ideas.

What would you like on your Freedom Fries, Bob? A little Dijon mustard?
