Debating with fetus fetishists

When a fetus fetishist is caught bearing false witness and a member of the reality based community calls bullshit, how does the foetishist respond?  With reasoned arguments?  With rational debate?  Or maybe by at least copping to the fact that the misinformation posted was false, and *gasp* apologizing for it?

None of the above!  The fetus fetishist responds in the least sane and sagacious way possible:   by adding a bunch of fetus pron to the post

and the main page.

But of course, nothing that addresses the substance of the rebuttal that decimated the foetishist’s argument.

And they wonder why they’re known as “The Great Unhinged”.

Judging by the lack of comments at her blog, no one really gives a shit about her.

Abortion is not the problem, it’s the solution.

  2. 2 Bruce Monday, December 14, 2009 at 4:18 pm

So, when is a fetus fetishist Not bearing false witness anyway?

  3. 3 pale Monday, December 14, 2009 at 4:38 pm

Oh great. Suzie all caps photoshopped gore fests. Shes sick in the head.

    Does AZ know?

  4. 4 JJ Monday, December 14, 2009 at 4:52 pm

pale – I’m not sure. If she’s been here or Dammit she does.

That’s why I use cache links whenever I link to these nitwits — they can’t change it.

Actually, maybe I should leave a comment at AZ’s and suggest she switch to the cache link I used.

  5. 5 JJ Monday, December 14, 2009 at 4:53 pm

Bruce – True, true. That 9th commandment must not be an important one.

  6. 6 JJ Monday, December 14, 2009 at 5:06 pm

burpster – For some reason fetus fetishists think that fetus pron is extremely shocking, and it’s not, it’s just gross. The byproduct of any surgery would be gross, and abortion is no different. Contrary to popular fetus fetishizing opinion, most sane people don’t look at that stuff and see a “person”.

  7. 7 Antonia Monday, December 14, 2009 at 6:06 pm

Oooh. Thanks. I cut and pasted your cached link.
    How do you do that?

  8. 8 deBeauxOs Monday, December 14, 2009 at 6:29 pm

When I had really, really terrible menstrual episodes as an adolescent, what flooded out of my uterus looked much gorier than that. I didn’t photograph it for posterity, but then I’m not a zygote zealot.

  9. 9 Antonia Monday, December 14, 2009 at 6:42 pm

Uh, thanks for that dBO. 🙂

The Foetishists aren’t talking to you, and they’re not actually talking to the uncommitted or uninformed (although they think they are). They’re talking to themselves, working to maintain the necessary level of righteous rage, pumping each other up and reaffirming their own spectacularly bad thinking within their closed community.

The good news is that their spectacularly misguided tactics horrify, anger and alienate. Let’s all hope they never actually get smart and start doing what the brighter activists do.

  11. 12 JJ Monday, December 14, 2009 at 7:21 pm

Antonia – All you have to do is copy the post url, paste it into google search box, search, and it will come up with the post hit. Under the hit you’ll see the words “cache” and “similar” — click on “cache” and Bob’s yer uncle. It takes you to the cached version of the page.

Sometimes the word “cache” won’t be there because it’s too soon. But fear not, there is still a cache. Just type “cache:” before the URL you put in the search box, hit search and boom, you’ll get the cached page.

I started doing this a while ago because people like SUZANNE post fetus pron or make other changes when you link to them. Additionally, I think it means you’re not giving them any traffic, since people are basically just looking at the “picture” in google’s files, not the actual site.

I almost always use cache links now when linking to wingnuts.

The Foetishists aren’t talking to you, and they’re not actually talking to the uncommitted or uninformed (although they think they are). They’re talking to themselves…

For sure — it’s all about circular reinforcement of their warped little reality. She posts fetus porn so that other foetishists will see it, along with the “Welcome AZ readers”, and they’ll go “Haha, you really showed her!” And then they get the added enjoyment of looking at the pictures and working themselves into a self-righteous frenzy.

    Pretty sick stuff!

  13. 15 deBeauxOs Monday, December 14, 2009 at 8:08 pm

Well, now I regret not taking pictures of my menstrual effluvia. Just think, I could be posting those photos on my blog right now and …

Oh. Wait. That would be a totally insane thing to do.

Unless I wanted to traumatize prepubescent girls? To give gynophobic fundamentalist religious male zealots heart attacks? To inspire 4th year visual arts undergrads to undertake bizarre performance projects.

    Nope. Bad, bad idea.

God-fucking-dammit!!!!! FUCK YOU, JOE LIEBERMAN!!! FUCK YOU, CO-DEPENDENT DEMOCRATS!! WHERE’S MY WALLBANGER SMILEY?!

    Alright…I’ve vented. Carry on…

  15. 17 Dr. Prole Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:16 pm

    What JAB said. Fucking fucks.

  16. 18 JJ Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:25 pm

JAB 😦 That blows. Do you think if they pass a shit bill they might be able to fix it later? What a bummer.

Well, you know where we are, just over the 49th.

  17. 19 J. A. Baker Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:33 pm

Know anyone up there who needs a web developer? 😆

  18. 20 J. A. Baker Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:36 pm

Do you think if they pass a shit bill they might be able to fix it later?

Well, that was the working theory when they decided to drop the public option in favor of a (slight) expansion of Medicare. But that’s obviously no longer a going concern. 👿

  19. 21 JJ Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:52 pm

I’m going to watch Olbermann right now and see what he has to say about it.

  20. 22 hemmingforddogblog Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 1:57 am

Crazy Elizabeth Packer has turned up at the BigBlueTurd. She is warning people about you JJ. She say’s you’re crazy! I will repeat that. You.are.crazy. hahahahaha

If anyone is interested…comment moderation is off over at Chez ALLCAPS 8)

  21. 23 brebis noire Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 5:24 am

Comment moderation may be off, but she’s doing renos and the format is no longer straightforward (the only thing that was ever straightforward over there). So it’s not worth my time.
Meanwhile, I got this link via GDKitty, very interesting:

I left a comment at HER place with a link to Antonia’s post and it appeared among others. A little while ago, I looked and all the comments on that post had disappeared.

This is why we don’t debate the lying liars. Not only do they lie, they cheat. And yet claim to hold the high moral ground. *ptui*

  23. 25 JJ Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 9:21 am

SQ – Is that so. Poor Lizzy, a day late and 100 dollars short.

Maybe someone will take it upon themselves to post this link in the comments at BBW

    https://unrepentantoldhippie.wordpress.com/2009/06/02/law-enforcement-fail/#comment-15570

It goes to the thread that tells the sad sorry tale of dizzy Lizzy’s short-lived existence as a commenter here. (Although according to my site meter, she’s here several times a day, every freaking day. Obsessed much?)

  24. 26 JJ Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 9:28 am

brebis – Thanks for the link! That’s what happens when the religious right is allowed to dictate policy — foreign aid is tied to ridiculous “abstinence only” programs, no condoms or birth control. Fucking idiots.

  25. 27 JJ Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 9:30 am

fern hill – Absolutely right. In addition to being mentally unbalanced, they are some of the most dishonest people I’ve ever encountered. It’s a total waste of time to engage them in any way.

  26. 28 deBeauxOs Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 10:46 am

Monomaniacal rants are rarely amusing unless delivered by Robin Williams or Elvira Kurt.

And Lizzy Parker was spectacularly unfunny and dreary.

  27. 29 fern hill Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 4:28 pm

Ha. I was just at Suzy’s 24-Hour House of Fetal Pron. The comments are back on that thread.

  28. 30 JJ Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 7:30 pm

    deBeauxOs – “Packer”.

That person has some serious problems, let’s leave it at that.

  29. 31 JJ Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 7:31 pm

fern hill – Gawd, I almost thought you wrote “fetal pancakes” 😯

  30. 32 Reality Bites Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 5:02 am

Note to self: Make last minute change to menu for brunch with JJ. I hate it when people don’t let you know well in advance they have one of those unreasonable dislikes of a commonly-served food.

On a more (and yet somehow less) serious note, a friend recently told me that someone he knows has a severe (life-threatening) allergy to rosemary. I said, “What a pretentioius allergy to have!”

(I’m pretty sure it wasn’t rosemary – I just can’t remember what herb it was. I’ll check and follow up. If I recall correctly, it was more pretentious)

  31. 33 RealityBites Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:33 am

And I was right. It was fennel.

  32. 34 deBeauxOs Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:51 am

    Go figure.

I have a friend who discovered she’s allergic to pine nuts – she didn’t know and had to go lie down during a dinner (she was a guest) and then of course threw up – and another person, to nutmeg.

  33. 35 Reality Bites Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 5:49 pm

I imagine soon that at the “better” elementary schools soon children will take home notes saying they can’t include fennel in their lunches and parents will be in an uproar, having never experienced the peanut butter ban (it being deemed unnecessary to not allow the kids to bring PB).

My friend has informed me though, that this wasn’t someone he knew, but actually a soap opera character. I just checked and while the allergy does exist, it’s a rather mild one in real life, with symptoms like hay fever and Anaphylactic shock being very rare.

Wait. What?
