Times are hard

…and even the world’s biggest tool is no guarantee of steady work.  Maybe he should consider leaving his organ size off the list of qualifications on his resume.

On a somewhat related note, the latest men’s fashion trend — ta da!models with boners:

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really see how that sells the suit.  Not that priapic isn’t a good great outstanding look, but when a guy in the market for a suit sees this model, “comfort” might not be the first word that comes to mind.

And while we’re on the topic of big dicks… what a sleaze.   He times this announcement to come out on the ultimate news-dump day, with everyone’s attention on the State of the Union address and the iPad release.  Well played.

    Times are hard 🙂

    I couldn’t think of a more appropriate title 😛

No, it certainly does not. Seems to handle extension and retraction awkwardly, crotchal design features men find essential in a properly-engineered pair of pants. We even talk about that when we shop together: “What do you think, Jim? Would my unit transition smoothly and discretely from flaccidity to tumescence and back in this?”

    I hate advertising.

It must be a slow news day. Somebody’s been trawling
    for the bottom feeders again.

Oh great, are dudes going to start walking around proudly sporting erections now? Are we supposed to say, “Nice cock!” when we see them wagging their junk around? :-/ And if I may say so, light blue is a weird color for a suit, unless it’s got a fat wide collar and a bow tie, and it’s 1972 and it’s being worn to the prom.

The Edwards. Ohhhh boy. I will never forgive EITHER of them for running for POTUS fully knowing about his sleazy affair and the by-product. To me they will be the couple that would have given us Vice President Palin, and they can both go straight to Fuck Offity Land.

    Ti-Guy – 😆 I had no idea it was such a problem 😯

  7. 7 JJ Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 9:52 am

Torontonian – Haha, right. A momentary U-turn into the gutter. Now we return you to your regularly scheduled gutter, politics.

Dr.Prole – In fairness to Mrs.Edwards, she had other things on her mind (cancer), so I don’t blame her. When it’s happening, it kind of takes up all your attention and nothing else matters. But him 😯 I can’t believe I once thought he seemed like a nice guy and a good candidate.

Newt Gingrich served divorce papers to his wife while
    she was undergoing cancer treatments.

Gingrich is a Republican. Edwards is a Republican.

Here’s a good example of Republican boorishness.
During last night’s State of the Union address,
the Republicans didn’t applaud several of Obama’s
major statements even though they are Republican
in spirit, viz. small business tax credit, student
loans repayment schemes to name a couple.
The Crooks & Liars site has this report:

Sorta runs in the family, don’t it? Somethin’ like
    recessive genes and congenital shortcomings.

Torontonian – Although Republicans certainly have a history of dumping their wives in the midst of hard times, Edwards is a Democrat… he ran in the primaries against Obama and Hillary (and ultimately supported Obama).

I watched the SOTU last night and was disgusted by how the GOP responded to the speech (or didn’t respond). I can’t remember the Democrats ever behaving so ignorantly when Georgie gave SOTU speeches — the GOP are swine, there’s no other word for it.

All in all, although it was a pretty conservative speech I think it was a good one. He successfully boxed them into a corner and made them look bad. There was nothing in their response after the speech that was even very relevant. It was great political stick-handling on Obama’s part. I give it an 8 out of 10 🙂 Now if he can just follow it up…

Did you guys see that Sammy “The Fish” Alito had his own “you lie!” moment at the State of the Union? Granted, it wasn’t out loud the way Joe Wilson’s was, but the sentiment was clearly there…

  12. 12 Dr. Prole Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 12:05 pm

JJ, I only blame Elizabeth because really, wtf? I can’t figure out how they, the both of them, thought his extramarital activity would remain a secret (in this day and age?!) and that they kept his candidacy alive until he was creamed in the polls and dropped out. What would they have done if he had won the primaries? Of course, she is not the one who had the affair which resulted in a child, and I know that when you get a diagnosis it pretty much consumes your life. But yeesh, we dodged a bullet that would have blown a sucking chest wound into the already grievously damaged US, no thanks to mister party pants. And I say this as a former Edwards supporter.

  13. 13 JJ Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 12:05 pm

JAB – Thank you, just posted it.

  14. 14 JJ Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 12:12 pm

Dr.Prole – Oh, I know. It was the wrong decision to continue supporting him, and frankly I don’t know how either of them thought they could pull it off given the intensity of media scrutiny on the white house (not to mention the right wing hate machine).

But I think he was determined to run and the last thing you want when you’re desperately ill is to lose emotional support, even from someone you’re already fighting with. So I give her a pass.

Back to “the pants”, ideal if the viagra hangs in there too long. You can push the elevator or doorbell button if your hands are full “hi honey, I’m home”.

  16. 16 mouthyorange Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 5:23 pm

Hey, guys. Hi! Prole: Maybe we really are alter-egos. I am a former Edwards supporter (cheerer on? Given that I’m Canadian?) too.

  17. 17 JJ Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 8:16 pm

Phatbiker – That’s all good and well if he’s on his way home. That guy looks like he’s on his way to the office 😯 or even worse, a job interview 😯 😯

  18. 18 JJ Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 8:17 pm

mouthyorange – I liked him too, I thought he was a pretty good guy. (But then my judgment of guys has never been 100%.)

    Good morrow, all!
Do those particular models get that way from looking at themselves in mirrors? What do they think they are — politicians?

I had no idea it was such a problem 😯

Neither did I. But in a market economy that gives us labioplasty, what isn’t a problem?

  21. 21 JJ Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 4:21 pm

😆 True enough. There’s no problem money can’t buy a solution to.

Wait. What?
