Two beers?

I would have held out for a halfsack

A Massachusetts man offered to give his three-month-old daughter to a maintenance man outside a gas station convenience store in exchange for two beers, authorities say.

… or if it was really really cute, maybe a bottle of Bushmills.

    What’s a halfsack?

Oh… Weird. 6 beers seems a steep price, no?

I hope this doesn’t get me in any legal trouble, and I really hope it doesn’t come back to haunt JJ, but I’d give away Stephen Harper for two empties.

By any chance, this guy’s name isn’t Michael Henchard, is it?

    A six pack!

Not according to Urban Dictionary, it’s not!

RB – I’d buy someone a couple of beers to take him away! Or even a couple of bottles of whiskey!

JAB – Apparently “halfsack” for a six-pack of beer must be a local BC expression… I’ve heard it around here for years, but have never heard of it used for drugs, or sex stuff. Oh well… halfsack FAIL.

JJ – I had heard “halfsack” for a six pack of beer back in my Ottawa days (’73-’76) so it’s not unique to British Columbia but like you I had not heard of it in relation to drugs or sex… until now. 😯

“Halfsack” for beer was also known in Manitoba in the sixties and seventies.

But for sex and drugs? What? No rock’n’roll?

Wait. What?
