Winning! (Part Duh)

What took you so long, shithead?:

A high-ranking official resigned Tuesday from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast-cancer charity after a dispute over whether the group should give funding to Planned Parenthood, according to a letter obtained by The Associated Press.

Karen Handel, the charity’s vice president for public policy, told Komen officials that she supported the move to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood. She said the discussion started before she arrived at the organization and was approved at the highest levels of the charity.

Um err yeah sure it did.

And of course, she’s deeply disappointed by the gross mischaracterizations of her asinine-assed, fetus fetishizing, anti-woman treachery:

I am deeply disappointed by the gross mischaracterizations of the strategy, its rationale, and my involvement in it,” Handel said in her letter. “I openly acknowledge my role in the matter and continue to believe our decision was the best one for Komen’s future and the women we serve.”

Well Karen, not much to add except…
UPDATE:  Boo hoo, fuck you.
UPDATE the second:  Because I promised

She sounds like the jerks she supports (Gingrich, Rove, etal..) somebody else’s fault, mischaracterization, etc. etc. ad nauseum…
Won’t change a thing..the sad truth is, she is probably right ( oh yeah, very Right) about the whole discussion starting before she ‘arrived’..why else would she slide (slither) into a position like that if not to ad some teabagger heft to the agenda?
Sorry, KomenGetit, no cigar..you are sent to Coventry…

These people make me sick. They blather about personal responsibility, but when they get caught with their pants down it’s always someone else’s fault. Or they were mischaracterized. Or whatever.

Although I suspect Handel cranked the accelerator on this issue, I think you’re probably right — the upper levels of the place seem to be infested with Texas Republicans, generally not the moderate, non-partisan kind, so it’s only a matter of time before they give it another try.

As for myself, I will never trust them or give them another dime EVER, and from the commentary on Twitter and blogs, I’m not alone in that sentiment.

What we need is a GREEN Ribbon campaign to fight Cancer, considering the gigantic agri-business, it’s cancerous chemicals in the ground and air, which triggers cancers in the most sensitive body tissue like breasts and falling sperm counts. Get rid of Pink for good!!

Hey, JJ, between you and Dammit Janet! I’ve been getting great coverage on this issue so thanks for that!

Since I’m just getting back into the Blogosphere after touring my book and whatnot, I don’t know if anyone’s shit on the PRENDA legislation making its way through the US system. Looks pretty damned racist and scary.

Also, I’m wondering if you could make the text in your quote sections just a little more contrasted against the background. My old eyes seem to be straining a tad to read them. Or maybe it’s just because my eyes are old…

    Keep up the good work!

She has most likely been told that the reward for falling on her sword will be a continual open spot on fox so-called news whenever any women’s issues are discussed. We have yet to hear the last of this piece of work.

Wait. What?
