I’m assuming that ;whoohoo’ was rhetorical..or at least ironic…
Emperor Steve will simply ignore this, like everything else, and most Canuckistan sheeple will limp along behind him like the true lemmings that they are..can you tell I’m in a bad mood, only increasing since nothing, nada, seems to move this country to ACT!!!

😛 It was a sort of cynical “woohoo” — picture it said in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

Frankly, I blame the Opposition: if they gave Canadians a credible Choice, something to get excited about and vote FOR as opposed to an “Anything But Harper” vote, they might be winning. Also, they (in particular the Liberals) need to lose the 70s attitude, stop insulting average Canadians, and build grassroots support like the NDP.

And (I know NDPers hate this, but it’s the truth) there needs to be some kind of progressive coalition. The reason the CPC got in was that they formed a conservative coalition btwn PC and Reform. The whole time the right was split, the Liberals had consecutive majorities. The NDP’s only chance to form a government (and even then it was the longest of long shots) was Jack Layton, and he is gone.

We need to keep pressure on cpc and elections Canada. Demands for Harper to resign will be fruitless and move attention away from the investigation we want to happen. Its about electoral fraud.

I’m hopeful that the NDP will change the discourse once we have a new leader. I believe they are perfectly placed to win next time.

We need fewer demands for Harper to resign and more about what he is doing. Reaching out to other progressives is needed. As to a deal with the lpc, thats not likely. We tried to give them the PM’s job once and they said no.

Given what I see from many liberal supporters, they won’t deal. It will be green voters, independents and ticked off liberal voters that will come to the NDP.

The NDP need to show them we are the party to vote for.

    Hi Ricky! 🙂
If there is any criminal activity in this (and it looks like there is), pressure definitely needs to be kept up.

I wonder if we’ll soon be seeing some big attention-getting news on the social conservative side of things, something that really distracts people.

Nathan Cullen gets it JJ. He’s for a targetted campaign to get rid of Harper. He’s got a snowballing online support network here in BC.

I’m worried the RCMP will block criminal charges in these cases. They’ve interfered in 2 elections so far, to achieve their own agenda. One in BC and one in Ottawa.

I think the 2008 Election in Saanich/Gulf Islands should be added to the list for further investigation. It was buried at the time by the BCRCMP and Elections Canada, but there was a misinformation campaign to split the vote by a “spoofed” IP. It worked, Gary Lunn edged the popular and charismatic intellectual Briony Penn by encouraging voters to support the withdrawn NDP candidate.

The NDP need to show them we are the party to vote for.

Well, exactly. People are longing to have a reason to vote for someone, not just against someone else (Harpie).

I agree that a progressive coalition is the answer..but can’t think of many progressive Libs (or Red Tories, for that matter) who are even willing to cross the floor..and they’ll have to, because no way should the NDP give up it’s role as Opposition just because arrogant Libs think they are the natural ruling party..
I do wish the NDP would hurry the hell up and get their leadership shit together..and my biggest fantasy would be that the Lib-friendly East Coast media would quit referring to the 34 member ‘strong’ Federal Liberal Party as the Opposition, which they do, constantly..you really can’t make it so just by sayin’ it, all you Bay Street types out there in medialand…

    That was this misinformation

The Conservatives won because they cheated. We have been posting for months about the robocalls. We have been posting, Harper campaigned over a radio station in Calgary, on election day, strictly illegal.

We have posted about..Harper is not a Conservative, he is a Neo-Nazi Reformer. Harper founded the Northern Foundation Party in 1989. They said, the skinheads assisted Harper to organize his shady party. We have put up with, Harper’s ranting and raving henchmen, we have had it with them too. Backing up a monster like Harper??? Shame on them.

However, if the opposition won’t get off their collective asses and pay attention, we will have a big Occupy, as the weather gets better. AND, don’t forget we must Occupy Elections Canada, they are covering up for Harper’s robocalls. That ministry is also corrupt.

We need to drag Gordon Campbell back from England, and have him charged with, corruption, theft and treason. he is Harper’s favorite henchman.

The NDP has some MPs like Cullen who seem to get it about the importance of grassroots support. Maybe it’s because the NDP in BC are competing mostly with the Conservatives, given that there’s not much Liberal support out here.

What, the RCMP interfere for their own agenda? Say it ain’t so 😉

thanks for the link, sassy. Interesting…

  13. 13 JJ Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 7:32 pm

GJW, if you have to make accusations about Harper and neo-nazi skinheads, it would be appropriate to post links that back up these charges. Otherwise it’s just ranting and raving as bad as anything that comes from Harper and his Henchmen.

  14. 14 JJ Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 7:40 pm

The problem with a coalition is that about a month after it was formed, some recalcitrant members would break away and form a new party that was either more left wing or more Bay Street-friendly 😛 As long as it held together long enough to get through another election…

Your second point is exactly why the Liberals are in the trouble they are in today. Even after being decimated in the last election, they haven’t learned humility.

The LPC should be more careful about what kind of nimrods they hire with their donors’ hard earned cash.
