A Komen insider told HuffPost that “employee morale is in the toilet” since Komen leadership made the controversial decision to defund Planned Parenthood, one of the nation’s most prominent women’s health and family planning organizations. The move was led by anti-abortion executive Karen Handel, then Komen’s senior vice president for public policy, who has since resigned.
Sad but true: the only kind of enterprises that prosper when anti-abortion headcases are permitted to run mad-dog loose and impose their repugnant values on policymaking are the kind that exist primarily to promote fetus fetishizing. In any other venue these people are a freaking disaster, fetus fetishism not being a business philosophy that translates well into the mainstream.

I think that this is fabulous..it’s about time that women funding women begin to understand what is at stake, and voting with your dollars is the first step..hopefully this translates to the voting booth in the next US election as well-Komen for the Cure is simply the tip of the proverbial iceberg…it gets worse for women and there reproductive issues far worse.
One of the rationales for going into, and staying, in Afghanistan was to ‘liberate’ women and girls from the hideous Taliban rules and sharia law
cruelties that were directed at them…it’s getting to the point where you can’t tell a Republican male from a Taliban jihadist these days, what with all their insanity regarding abortion, contraception, and now, rape…pretty soon they’ll be running dead even in the ‘women as property’ race. And women cannot rely on men to stop them..women are now the majority in N. America, and should be running not walking to the polls to make damn sure that none of these draconian measures are passed, or, when passed, as in State law, that they are overturned as quickly as possible..democracy? Use or lose it, ladies…
It may be too much to hope for, but it almost seems like the fetus fetishists have pushed the issue just a little too far this time, and even the most apolitical of women are waking up and going “Wait a minute…!”
Komen’s timing could not have been worse. Women were already pissed about contraception becoming an election issue – not to mention all the draconian Shame & Humiliation laws being brought in all over the country.
