Operation Sweat

Shorter Operation Rescue: We’re a totally non-violent, peaceful anti-abortion organization — we just employ people with a history of criminal convictions for anti-abortion-related terrorism.

KMBC Channel 9 captured this shot of a phone number to anti-abortion group Operation Rescue inside the car of Scott Roeder, the man suspected of shooting and killing Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller Sunday morning at a Wichita church.

The phone number is written on an envelope with the name “Cheryl” and “Op Rescue.” Cheryl is Cheryl Sullenger, Operation Rescue’s senior policy adviser, who in 1988 was convicted of conspiring to bomb a California abortion clinic. She served two years in prison.

Sullenger tells The Pitch that she hasn’t spoken with Roeder recently.

Not since Sunday morning, I bet.

Oh dear. Does this qualify as “palling around with terrorists”? I’m thinking it might. Oooh… I smell “conspiracy”. Smells kind of like crispy hot wings… and sweat.

JJ, you’ll be pleased to know that Sarah Palin has offered her journalistic opinion: “The stories of two very different lives with similar fates crossed through the media’s hands yesterday — both equally important but one lacked the proper attention. The death of 67-year old George Tiller was unacceptable, but equally disgusting was another death that police believe was politically and religiously motivated as well.”

Oh right… equally disgusting except for the fact that one victim was harassed and targeted on an ongoing basis for, what, 15 years? 20?, had already been shot by an anti-abortion NUT, clinic set on fire, made the subject of a campaign of hate rhetoric that went all the way up to Fox news, ETC ETC ETC…. and the other attack happened… right out of the blue.

Yes Sarah, they’re exactly the same. MORON

I guess that’s Sarah’s attempt at drawing attention away from the Tiller story? Makes me wonder what’s in it for her.

Bruce, what’s in for her? Coverage. By reporters. Journalists. Maybe a mention in the news. Keeping her name in the minds of the voters.

JJ, not fair to morons, really. I know some morons. Not too bright, but usually pleasant, never vindictive or mean and they sure don’t hunt helpless aninals from helicopters after scaring the shit outa them and running them almost to death first.

Bruce – Attention is in it for her, also perhaps an opportunity to establish some “moderate” credentials. Her credibility as far as this particular issue goes is ZERO — she doesn’t even support abortion in cases of rape or incest. That’s harsh.

chimera – OK, what’s the next rung on the Idiot Ladder? Imbecile? No, Cretin.

I think it goes Moron (IQ 51-70), then cretin (IQ 31-50), then imbecile, then idiot.

    SaWah’s a cretin.
