Ya say ya want a revolution

Welllllll, ya know… we’d allfreeper-alert love to see the PLAN.

And it looks like some ambitious Freepers have a BIG plan — they’re planning to get millions of people to march on Washington DC and  casually overthrow the government:

We have reached the point where the government’s long train of abuses and usurpations has achieved absolute Despotism, therefore it is our right, it is our duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for our future security.

Therefore, We the People of America choose to exercise our right to throw off and alter the abusive government by peacefully recalling and removing from office the President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States and all U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives effective immediately.

I think the march they’re talking about is this fisty thing.

tea-party-fist

Yep.  They want to appoint their own congress, repeal some amendments, shut down a bunch of federal agencies and… and… well I don’t think they’re clear on the “and” aspect of things.   Which is pretty stunning considering the scope of this little project — it’s not exactly something you tick off on your “To Do” list at the end of the day.  (Mow lawn? Check.  Change flat tire? Check.  Overthrow government?  Check-diddly-eck!)

Although their plan doesn’t exactly sound like it would entail a smooth “transition of power”, they want to be sure that nobody gets the wrong idea:

This concept is an entirely peaceful altering of our despotic government per our unalienable right and duty. No where do I call for violence. The only force I call for is the force of numbers.

Riiiiiiight.  Hey — I wonder if this is Sarah Palin’s mysterious new career, Queen of the United States of Freepistan?

Uh-hunh. Shorer Freepers: Obama’s a ‘socialist’ but we’ve got the fisty Soviet imagery.

Another variation of the Underpants Gnome business plan:
Phase 1) Talk big about plans to ‘casually’ overthrow elected government
    Phase 2) ???
Phase 3) Millions marching in support/success

OTOH, these people are seriously deranged. The ‘vast conspiracy’ is back!!! 😆

    Albeit in left-wing form.

The U.S. honestly does need a revolution, no longer should the bankers like the evil goldman Sachs control the fed, treasury and the votes of most members of congress. The U.S. has long ago dropped any pretense of democracy and is now run by corpocracy, or if you like it better fascism.

A revlolution is needed but should not be a right left divide but one of honestly in gov, upholding the rights and divisions of power in the constitution and returning monetary soverienty to congress and away from the Fed, a group of private banks who control the money supply, a basic power of gov.

The U.S. is only a couple years away from insolvency and failed state status, just like the Soviets when the wall fell.

Dan – One of the commenters at that freeper thread was worried that “liberals would make sexual remarks” about their march 😆 They have only themselves to blame: they really set the tone with “teabagging”.

GAB – Actually, there’s nothing wrong with the concept of a “peoples’ revolution”, but this ain’t it. This is a bunch of far-right nutjobs who just don’t like the democrats being in power. They were perfectly happy all those years that Bush was looting the treasury and ramping up the spending. Now suddenly they’re all about fiscal conservatism? Yeah, right.

Funny – I thought the freepers were all afeared of the evils of fisting…

Michelle – Hard to say if it’s fear, or… something else. 😆

“The Constitution of the United States must be kept intact and must be adhered to and strictly followed by all government entities as originally intended.”

On the other hand, some amendments must be repealed and others enforced. Riiiight!!!

uu4077 – Yeah, repeal a few amendments and overturn some settled law (like Roe v Wade)… bring back Prayer in School and have the Ten commandments outside every courthouse and donut shop in the land… really, all they want to do is change the US into Lower Wingnuttia/Jesusland.

Wait. What?
